CyVers
A React Native mobile MVP for real-time crypto monitoring and threat detection, adapted from a dense desktop-first Web3 security platform.
CyVers is a venture-backed crypto cybersecurity company. The project was to design and build a mobile MVP adapted from its existing Web3 security web platform.
The desktop product provided dense monitoring, threat detection, and security operations. The mobile product needed to become a focused companion for urgent, on-the-go oversight.
Mobile Companion Challenge
The main challenge was translating a desktop-first security platform into a small-screen experience without losing the operational clarity users need in high-stakes contexts.
Mobile use cases centered on real-time alerts, security status checks, quick incident response, and portfolio oversight away from a desktop.
IA Prioritization
Several desktop-heavy workflows were intentionally removed or deprioritized for the MVP: advanced search, graph analysis, and detailed rules configuration.
The final mobile architecture focused on watchlists, overview data, monitored assets, automated actions, and recent alerts.
Visual And Data-Viz Simplification
Alert rows and visualizations had to become denser, clearer, and more touch-friendly.
I replaced heavy severity bubbles with colored left borders, reduced repeated labels, moved secondary metadata into expanded states, and created more compact visualization patterns with stronger hierarchy.
Final App
The high-fidelity MVP included login, watchlists, watchlist overview, monitored assets, asset details, actions, and recent alerts.
It was built in React Native, TypeScript, and Expo, with ECharts used for mobile data visualization.
Development And Reflection
The project strengthened my product-design and engineering work around complex data interfaces: adapting desktop SaaS patterns for mobile, prioritizing urgent information, and designing cybersecurity workflows around clarity, trust, and speed.
